Monocolor exhibition lighting.

Exhibition design for "Regionalt norsk maleri, Nanna og Frigg microdoserer og en ny roman". Each painting, by Norwegian artist Bjarne Melgaard, is lit by a spotlight, whose silhouette matches each frame. Any other surface is washed by bright pink ceiling lights.

Walking through the gallery, the eyes of the visitors compensate for the monochrome lighting, closing the perceptive gap between the popping paintings and the walls. Only when they exit the gallery space, and the world for a time is tinted a contrasting, nauseating green, is the experience rounded out.
